Hello

I'd like to introduce myself, my names Dan.

Since seeing the first sight in 1998 at the Paris Motor Show I have forever been a fan of the V6 and whilst all my friends at the time were Ferrari/Lamborghini mad...the V6 always seem to take centre stage as one of my dream cars. Much to most peoples surprise the mk1 has always been the shape, as much as I like the mk2's, I like that the mk1 doesn't look as improved as the mk2 and to me that makes it prettier (if that makes sense?!).

Fast forward to this year and I am now in the position to be in the market, I've been too slow on previous sales during lockdown and after a recent personal issue realised that if all your stars align, just go for it. I joined this forum in March but decided to become a paid member yesterday so I can become active and hopefully (when I manage to get my hands on one) can contribute and share my experiences in a meaningful way and if not engage with others in the meantime.

I am based in the UK and am determined to keep one in the UK and more importantly use the thing even if it does try to bite me

Welcome Dan thanks for saying hello.

I share your love of the phase 1 looks. Don't worry about the hype of them being tricky to drive, if you drive it with care you'll never know what the fuss was all about.

I did 10k miles in my first phase 1 as a daily driver, snow, rain... I even moved house in it.

I am currently without a v6 and its the phase 1 I still pine over. Tape deck and all!

Good luck with the hunt, if you want any help or a second opinion, feel free to give me a PM.

Welcome Dan.

I hope you find a nice Vee and enjoy the experience. Either Phase will have you smiling from cheek to cheek.

Welcome.
It's always extra special if you have lusted over a car for years and years but not been able to get one for whatever reason but then the stars align and it works out. Makes the thrill so much bigger.
I lusted after a couple of mine, including the V6, for years before getting them. the brochure was well and truly worn out!
Good luck in finding what you want.
