mystery hole !

I was looking around the inside of my mk2 the other day thinking about how I could mount a camcorder on the inside to take some footage and I took the rubber lining out of the pointess coin holder on top of the centre of the dash and noticed that apart from the 2 small holes that take the fittings for the rubber lining there was another hole in between them about 1cm in diameter.

Anyone else got this hole ? if so whats it for ?

maybe someone drilled it on my car for some strange reason ?? [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Not sure will have a look when i go and tuck it in later, with regard the camcorder bracket i have one that fits to the headrest uprights, it is a good solid fixing and there is no camera shake,and easy to fit i use mine for Track days it cost about £45 from http://www.cameragrip.co.uk/acatalog/Ca ... ounts.html

It might be a hole to fix the sat nav pod onto. For a non v6 that uses the same basic dash top.

thanks for the link to the car mounting camcorders site - very useful - had already designed my own on paper but for that money might just order one [smilie=thanks.gif]
