Well, you prob have guessed by now that this weekend I popped over to France to collect my Orbisoud exhaust. Obvioiusly I didn't sell it to Kat like that it was more like, "hey, why don't we go camping in France for a few days - it will be lovely and on the way back we could pop to Meriel and collect something..........." Managed to get the green light though.
Set off, tent packed on Friday and was collecting the exhaust on Tuesday morning - slept on 2 roundabouts in it!. Had sorted collection out with Fabienne and Vivienne who were both very helpful.
1500 miles later (after a few stop offs enroute!) and arrived at Meriel outside Paris and it wasn't what I was expecting. Drove past the place twice thinking it was a house as only visible sign was the orbisoud logo on a number plate on the door!
Got a tour of the place - which was nice of them. My French is awful and they didn't speak English very much so it was interesting!
Laser cutting tool - demonstrated without Goggles!
Nice mini out back with side exit
Got the Beast! Just need to fit it now!
Whilst I was over there we popped to Paris (nightmare driving through it though - they drive worse than Mossy over there let me tell ya
They had a Renault sport shop on the highstreet. New Clio Gordini was in there
Renault Wind - Bit smelly though for my liking!
3D TV was cool!
Spotted the Meg RS in Bolougne on way back - very nice it was too!
So, all in all a great few days away and I got my Orbisoud in the end! Thanks to everyone who helped with links and contacts etc much appreciated and shows the wealth of info on this forum. Feel shattered now as arrived back at 6am!
Roll on weekend!
