My vees just failed...

Its MOT, well pissed off to say the least.

Its failed on the Left side rear shock absorber leaking.

And guess what...Its not covered on warranty theres a suprise, yet in my extended warranty book cant find any where that says shock absorbers arnt covered.

I understand that shocks are normally wear and tear items but these a KONIs and should be up to the job, its not as if there some cheap shi*t no name shockers.

Question is how much is a shocker and do i need to replace them in pairs?

Dennis - there is a full set of mk1 suspension setup forsale on ebay at the mo, maybe 1 of the technical experts can say if the struts are the same??

Result,

Renault have just phoned and said there gonna replace my shocker 100% free on warranty, on monday, and re-align it. Bonus!!!! :lol:

And so they should.

Some what surprised some one said that they were not covered.

They tried to blag me with the wear and tear but when questioned the matey there went to Renault Uk and they said they would do it.
