My Inferno 182 clean up

VII Car Care

New Member
Decided this was the weekend to clean the car up, I was very lucky with the weather so I'm all in all pleased :D

So saturday morning, set up by 9am & rather cold.

My favourite foam & lance were cracked out. Not so keen on the shampoo, only used it as it was a big clean up sesh.

Play time :)

I was dredding claying, two hits with Iron x

Part of the bonnet after one hit :doublesho

After the 3rd hit!!!

And again ...

After about 2 hours I finally managed to crack on, re foamed & washed.

mmmmm hello

All washed and starting to look lovely

Now she has swirlies, but they can wait till the weather is more stable. So I opted for Micro Prime as its a great all rounder & really cleans the paint well. I think I prefer this over Lime Prime as it seems less dusty.

So, after I machine polished her I felt she was still lacking that shine. So I wiped her down with Z6 then applied Tripple by hand. I was going to use this first on the machine but I find the primes clean really well.

New lense on the way ;)

I woke up to a thick frost, so waited till 11am to start. I know, wuss :p

Anyway, today I gave her a coat of Powerlock via the rotary. Love using this with a machine.

Gave her another Z6 wipe down. I really wanted to drive her, so I'll wax her on the next wash!

Out & about, got a snap with my sisters 182 too :thumb:

Im undecided to Illusion, Bos or Supernatural ? Not worried on durability, Hydro 2 has that covered :D

Oh & Brett, I want my 172 back!

Cheers

Fair play in the cold having the determination to do this .... If I had a car like this to clean over winter I would do the same ... But v6 tooked up and pug 107 doesn't fill me with detailing excitement
