Do they rot badly ? I have the urge to own a 6 or 7 ( I like the shape of the 7 , but dont hold that against me )

yes they can do but if you find a clean one and treat it right underneath there not to bad my 5 has never had a welder near it.
And I like 8s but its even better leaving them for dust:)

Looks sweet, always wanted one of these. Just put off by the running costs.
Don't blame you but if you did find one with every thing working then they are really reliable
maybe even bullet proof. And apart from one of mates with there evo 6 anything that's ever tried
racing me has been completely blown away even newer evos with acclaimed higher brake lol

Japanese cars really dear to fix when they go wrong but they rarely go wrong so actually very cheap to run. I spent more in 3 years fixing my 330d than I've spent in 10 years on my GTR! The EVO's do sup a bit though :0).

Had it about 12 years , 60k km from new, metallic black, Volk Racing 18" rims, mild tuned - about 390 bhp but very responsive.i139.photobucket.com_albums_q294_Renaulttony_Nissan_20Skyline_20R32_20GTR_Dsc00646.webp

Alpina 635 CSi Highline, with additionally 6 branch stainless steel manifolds and exhaust. About 265 BHP, manual, full black leather Recaro interior. Very rare car.

Number plate is actually B10 SLX :0)

They are very different to drive to the Evo's or Scoobies, only 4 wheel drive when the rears lose traction which can make it interesting at times :0)

They do rot badly, from the inside out, so a car that can look mint can be anything but! The rear chassis rails are a common place.

I sold my VI a couple of years ago, but I seem to recall some tuners were starting to stick cameras into the bodywork to check for internal rot.

They are hero cars - I loved mine. It was reliable, but it was always in the back of my mind that if it did break, it was $$ time. That plus the fuel consumption, plus the fact that every Tom, Dick, and Chavvy tries it on with you does put you off a bit.

Here's my old one:

i prefer the looks of a 4 over the 5-6 shame they are so old now, most ramped and seem to have crank walk issues with the original engine
