My Clio V6

Had a fairly quiet weekend so gave my Clio V6 (another) clean. I also fitted a V6 MkII spoiler - not sure on whether to keep it or keep it as OEM as possible. What are your thoughts?

I would need to get the shorter struts and get it sprayed.

Process today was:

Shampood (Zymol Natural)
Auto Finesse Tripple polish
Dodo Juice Diamond White wax
Gtechniq G4 - pricey but seems like brilliant stuff, will wait and see how durable this is.

Lovely. Ph2 spoiler looks much better imo. But then again I'm pro all the ph2 bits. Spoiler, wheels and rear lights.

Just keep the OEM Ph1 parts safe, incase you choose to sell...

I do like it but know its not right. Strangely.

If it didnt need sprayed I would keep it for a little while but the fact it needs done makes me go towards the Mk1 spoiler. I think.

Brilliant... nice house by the way [smilie=icon_eek.gif] [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Thanks. Thinking about an extension on the side of it. ;)

Yeah, probably a good idea, my first thought was it looked a little on the small side.

Great great pics though, whats the deal with the number plate? taken off for cleaning?

Ph2 spoiler is much better, anyone who says revert back to Ph1 is probably saying so because they are OEM nerds, not because it looks better with Ph1 parts, somebody prove me wrong by fitting a Ph1 spoiler to your Ph2. Exempting the OEM enthusiasts on here, to 99.99% of the rest of the world it looks better with Ph2 parts, but at the end of the day all that matters is your own opinion Ben.

Nice pics by the way. :approve:

I'm fitting an audi motor to mine, have sprayed it another colour and have 5 spoke split rims so am by no means an oem nerd. I prefere a silver ph1 with both oem rear lights and spoiler but do like ph2 wheels on them for looks. Prefere how a ph1 drives with 17" wheels though.

I've always thought the Ph2 spoiler looks like it 'does something' to improve downforce.

As a hardcore OEM fan you may be suprised that I really like it. I'd vote spray it and keep it!

However, I prefer it on the phase two car.

Great pics Ben.

Thanks for the comments :approve: , will have a think regarding the spoiler!

I wouldnt change anything else to Ph2, I always liked the extra little flick this spoiler gives. I'm not a fan of the Ph2 rear lights unless on a Ph2 and really need to see a Mk1 with the 18" wheels - somehow in pictures it looks really odd, but I dont see me going down this route anyway.

Whilst I was taking the pictures somebody past and said its looks brilliant then asked if I was selling it lol

Yeh for cleaning mate, hate the wee drips you get once you have dried it about 100 times - thinking abut getting one of these wee blower things.

I will also report back on the C4 as to how it stands up.

Dog and cow blaster works wonders for drying off, takes seconds and never a drip! More than can be said about the cows and dogs! :approve:

I like the ph2 spoiler, ive heard the term oem+ used before….

I agree with comments made to keep the ph1 bits though but you do what you feel is best. After all look at mine, the hand controls are hardly factory! :approve:

Looking at your car now I'm at home, its a cracker Ben. Its cars like yours that'll be worth top dollar eventually. I want an Iceberg!
