[v6plaque]445[/v6plaque] is one of the rarer MY of phase ones which had a black phase 2 bootlock from new too.

Any idea how many were produced with the black ph2 bootlock duncan? :)

Only a couple of hundred. I still have a few cars to track down before I can confirm exact numbers.

Most cars had a body coloured phase 2 boot lock.

My Ph2 bootlock is body coloured. Were these black ones Ph2 shape?

The phase 1 vee had three different bootlocks throughout its production run:

1- Small black original lock (cars finished Nov 2000 to Aug 2001)
2 - ph2 bootlock in black plastic (cars finished Sept 2001 to mid October 2001) - only a couple of hundred cars had this
3 - ph2 boot lock coloured. (cars finished mid October 2001 May 2002) - the most common

That lift looks epic (so does the workmanship too!) - please can you find out what make/model it is...

Dropped the car off at Scotts this morning, strange as never having seen one on the road there were 5 x phase 2 down there. Fascinating place to look around and a very genuine guy.

Had a good chat about the car, was useful as I know the square root of bugger all about them and he came up with a few interesting points about them.

It also gave me a chance to look at a few that had aftermarket seats in them. Totally undecided as to what to do ref seats i.e whether to change them or not and, if I did, then what type, I'd like to say it helped but, it didn't [smilie=icon_eek.gif] . Also chatted to him re aftermarket steering wheels and sort of decided between us to stick with the original, maybe get a refurbed one from ktec done in alcantara.

Recommend a wheel refurb by ‘Snappy’, does a awesome job & if your provide material he can retrim in that. E.g get hold of some alcantara from a Vee or Clio 172 that’s being broken/sold & snappy can retrim with that as he did with mine, results are nigh on perfect & arguably better & more hardwearing than original.

Others on here have had Snappy retrims in a variation of materials either supplied by themselves or Snappy.

Mine would be one of the 5 ph2 you saw at SG. Given the photos Scott has sent of the work, it would have been the one in bits!! Looking forward to getting down myself to have a chat and pick up the car.
