Phase1 went in for its mot today passed but only just scraped through emissions test. 69k on the clock now [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Was the engine cold... not been used for a while maybe..?

Car had been in the mot bay running for about 30 minutes before he tested the emissions and always smells like it's running rich anyway

Mine used to struggle with emissions every MOT. I was advised to give it a good thrashing when up to temperature, so did 15 mins on track at ORS, the next year, it went straight through with no struggle on emissions.

Yep, always get that cat nice and toasty with a hard blat before you go, handy dual carraigeway right near my test place
