MOT Brake test results

blakey

Has anyone got the last MOT test results to hand, just curious to the results that are typical.

The last time I ahd my MOT done I was in the car pressing the brake and it passed (cant remember the results) but never locked? this normal?

I had mine done two weeks ago I'll check for you tomorrow. I didn't notice what information was on the sheet, I wasn't aware of any brake info - but there may be!

It's all to do with brake effort against the vehicle's weight worked out as a %

If it it locks up then it's just maxed out, but it can pass at a lower brake effort limit.

I'm always amazed, but not surprised given the lack of front end weight, at what a low braking effort the fronts typically lock at on the MOT rolling road. Even so it's still good enough apparently!

MOT passed today, here is a print out of the brake results. New Disc's and pad's all round and calipers had a bit of TLC so everything is as new.

Front axel weight = 511
Rear axel weight = 707
Total weight = 1218

I think his scales need calibrating
