Mk4 clio trophy 220

Morning all, just after some feedback from anyone that has mk4 platform clio rs 200/220, I've just booked into rs tuning for a map, has anyone on here had any experience with the ITG and KTec induction kits? I will be grateful for any feedback!!

Out of the 2 I'd choose the ITG, mid range torque increase. Killing 2 birds like I did, I had RS Tuning fit an ITG on my 200 before mapping. Don't expect woosh noises and don't expect mega increases, a friend and I had both our 220s ( yep I bought a 220 after the 200) mapped back to back and I had a K&N panel filter as I didn't want the faff of an induction kit 2nd time round but a filter I could service myself in the OE box but something that gave better flow.

There wasn't much in it to be fair, again the ITG showed a small midrange gain on the graph.

Thanks for the feedback Ricardo, the only reason i asked was I assumed there would be little intake nosie from the ITG being enclosed, which drew my attention to the ktec kit being open filter with heatsheild I thought this would give more of an induction noise but maybe lose you a few pony's when things get hot under the bonnet!

That heat soak thing is a negligible nonsense. Your about to compress the air through a turbine and compression will instantly cause more heat than it being warm in your engine bay, your then sending the air through an intercooler to cool it. Also enclosed units are made of black plastic that will absorb heat.

Get the open cone version for a better sound. The sound will give as much to the driving experience and the extra power.

Being an auto you don't really get the traditional turbo surge noises. The old days of spooling up the turbo then backing off the throttle doesn't really apply on these 220/220 models, well on the ITG very rarely it would do it but it would automatically change gear in non Sport Mode too quickly before it could happen.

You should still get more sound under load, the boost will be turned up a few psi, and the open cone will be louder. He didn't mention dunno valves or blanked recircs, or did he?
