MK2 tyre Psi

As some know i have MK2 wheels fitted on my MK1 Vee, Just playing with different Psi at the moment but wondered what the O.E Psi should be for MK2 Wheels.

Strange how the Mk1's have 10 psi different front to back and the Mk2's are nearly the same. Always thought the fronts were lower on a Mk1 due to having no weight over the front. Why did they change this on later cars????

I'm running 225/35/18's and 265/35/18's on the rear, the same set up as Simon's. Handling is great, so much better.

Mk1 run 205/50/17 and mk2 205/40/18. That's a much bigger profile (sidewall) on the Mk1. Generally, the lower the profile the higher the pressure.
Mk1 owners who run Mk2 wheels and tyre sizes should use Mk2 tyre pressures but may want to tweak them to suit as the chassis/suspension is different too.

If i was using 40 profile tyres i would use the ( Didn't know what this was hence the post ) O.E Psi all round but as i'm using 35 profile i just wondered what i could tweek.

At the moment i'm running 30 psi front and 32 psi rear, seems to handle great.
