MK2 Snatchy 2nd to 3rd

Is it quite common for the gear change from 2nd to 3rd to be a bit snatchy if the revs aren't right?

I have had the car for a while now but am getting paraniod that any thing I discover now was caused by Reno when they did the cambelt and service [smilie=icon_eek.gif] . It was probably like it before but I never thought about it!!!

I had gearbox selection issues with mine after a cambelt was fit especially from cold.

Solved it by changing the oil to the recommended ELF version, had the gearlever adjusted plus topped up the brake / clutch fluid reservoir. Its been like a new gearbox since so try checking these things first
