Mk11 V6 Alarm

Doc

Active Member
My V6 is laid up for long periods in secure garage and would like to disable the alarm. The handbook talks about disabling if going though car wash etc but the diagrams in the book look like a load of squiggles. Any help please ?

You can disable just the volumetric interior sensors which can be overs sensitive just by turning the ignition key on and off twice then when you lock it it will beep twice instead of the usual once

Many thanks - the double blip works fine. Can I go one stage further by turning off all the alarm functions then use the key to lock the car? Idea is to reduce battery drain if turning off the alarm will help?

You could leave it unlocked? Also, I'd recommend getting a battery conditioner like a CTEK which will keep the battery in the best condition
