Loooking for a vee?

Stay away from DK53 FSV It's a proper bucket but a very well done bucket. It was/is for sale at Eddie wrights car dealer in Scumthorpe.

They drag you in with a decent price etc and seemed quite keen to put right all the stuff I seen wrong (centre caps missing, no locking wheel nut key, no mot, only one key, window reg fucked) but as more questions were asked more horrors came out. The car has been repossesed and obviously not by handing the keys back ie taken!! Had one more owner than they said (4) upon hpi'ing it.

After going down to see it from Glasgow and doing a deal subject to all faults being rectified I was told it was all good to go for today so off I went on a nice little train ride only to discover they hadnt sorted the central locking, got a plip key coded for it but didnt work the central locking then as it was outside this time I could see the front bumper had been sprayed at some point. In a not too pleasant way they were told to ram it right up there rectum!! So two trips from Glasgow for he haw!!! Got all my money back inc the non refundable deposit ol

A blessing in disquise (sp) I think, Lesson learned I was nearly suckered in by the "just get a one now" thoughts.

A bit of a ramble but any questions Il be sure to answer them, Yes I know I nearly bought it!!!

Number 352 btw

So the hunt goes on!!!!

***Just thought I would bump this up as it appears to have surfaced again with another even poorer decription:

11500 seemed adaquate enough for a mk1 imo with no cambelt changed! How much more would you suggest for a "mint" one?

just to help you, i have just paid 11900 for mine, and before i took it renault have done the cam belt, water pump, all plugs, re conditioned a wheel, 1 new clip for under the bonet, mot, full service, full tank of fuel, and a partridge in a pear tree.

thats what i sqeezed for that amount of money. possible to get one cheaper, but with all those things done i cant moan [smilie=bunny_4.gif]

and i deem it a very clean vee, from ones ive looked at.

^^ Yeah I was thinkin about goin to look at that one, told me they would do the same as above, 33k was a little more than the one I went for so looked at it instead. Yours was from a reno dealer too. Shit happens

big iain my red mk1 2 owners 18,100 mls dry in fact no wet weather use at all ! is the best u will find for 12k . looking for mint mk2 only mint with minimal miles .

What a great quote ...

'However, please check the vehicle for the items which are important to you, as we cannot be held responsible for errors. '

I've noticed that MK1 No.0001 is still for sale with only 11.5K miles 8) (check out pistonheads) the price has now been dropped to a more realistic £12500 think it was up originally for £14500 [smilie=icon_eek.gif] it's only 35 miles from me so if anyone is interested I'd go and check it over prior to anybody making a long journey.

Interested Iain ?
