London Mini Meet October 13th 2013 (Sunday)

I just got the vee MOTd (hooray) and the speed ramp is manageable in my car on 215/35/18 front tyres. Taken very slowly from one entrance only.

Foolishly I had prebooked to take summer to see Turbo at the cinema at 2.20 and they won't change the booking. I'm going to turn up at 12.00 and see if I can blag my way in. If not I'll be out at 4.20 so hopefully still all do-able.

Weather for SW1 is crap for sunday [smilie=icon_cry.gif]
But you never can be sure....
Saves on the cleaning time i surpose ;)

They won't shrink gents....

Looking forward to this. Got a nice selection of cars coming along as well. :approve:

OK,

Those on the list should have received a message confirming the details for tomorrow, nothing has changed except my contact number, here is the message incase anyone else is interested:

Hi guys,

Thank you all for your interest in our London meet tomorrow. Lots more support than I had originally expected.

Absolutely can't wait to see some cars and meet some people, like many of you it will be a first for me so don't feel shy. There looks to be a few old timers on the list, we are relying on you to spread your wisdom.

This is a message to confirm that we will meet at 5pm in St. James's Square London

POSTCODE: SW1Y 4JS

After we meet I will have a small route prepared for anyone who fancies a quick spin around the area.
(Following popular demand)

Would be great to hear back from everybody to see if your all still up for it and if anyone has any last minute comments.

There are a couple of meeting points for routes into london, one from the black wall tunnel and one from Brent Cross if others want to join.

See you tomorrow evening,

Matt

Great list of cars, lets not all analyse the weather minute by minute, a moody grey sky still makes for good pictures. Especially at our meeting place.

If any one is at the Pistonheads meeting tomorrow morning at Silverstone you will see me there.

All the best,

Matt

Looking forward to it guys.

My only thought, if the drive was to go through the Rotherhithe tunnel, may want to re-think, as that width restriction is a real **** :ihatpcs: (unless they have changed it lately)!

Apart from that, am looking forward to a good crack.

Thank you Matt this is all down to you for suggesting it. Surprised we have never had a pure London meet before the turn out looks fantastic considering its SORN and cold weather time.

We may have to have a summertime meet next year and jam up central London!!

Thanks Nas,

It seems like a great bunch of people on here.

I have arranged for the rain to go away by 2-3pm, with the help of Acid v6's predictions we will be ok.

By 5pm we will feel like we are in Barbados!

I will be @ black prince 415-

Where are you parking as once your in that hotel car park your paying-?

Theres a side road opposite maybe meet there?

S

I haven't heard back from Duncan about the photography but I'm sure others will come armed with a decent camera and some button pushing skills.

12 Vees is an impressive turn out, especially at this time of year........shame I will not be able to make it 13, but hopefully the Alfa SZ will make up for it.

Will certainly some armed with a camera, but am no expert with it unlike some others on this forum are. Hope Duncan takes the hint ;)
