Loltus Exige

That's what I like to see! Using a great car all year round and the kind of dirt just not possible in the summer ;) I will let you off with man up of winter driving with the roof off......damn I have had some Bear Grills experiances using all year round historically (even on r888's one year but never again after snow). Frozen locks to start, ice inside the windscreen and never gets even warm lol so miss it

Lol I remember driving from Solihull town centre to Balsall Common (mostly country lanes) where I used to live / office was based......on cut slicks in the snow and ice

Most draining, scary, sideways, fun brilliant drive ever. They actually cope well you are just taken to a level of skill needed I dont possess. Took forever tp get home and not sure I got much past 10mph for most of it lol

Thats the scary bit - I was super confident at the steering and pedal inputs , sideways I really enjoy. It was the thought of Mary the 86 year old dear from down the road pulling out on me and me not being able to stop / plant it in a tree / park it upside down that scared me the most.

I cannot decide if I need some carbon in my life.

The c63 has a carbon rear diffuser and little boot wing as OEM.

The lotus has none. I might have found this that will replace my OEM silver one with a considerable weight saving ( how much I am unsure as I swear the current one is made of recycled mcdonalds plastic straws ..

Juicy , right ?

Or do I need some seats ?

So many carbon parts so little time!

While I love well made carbon parts and do look good, the difference it makes is next bugger all difference in the lotus setup, especially cor the cost. However tweaks in design can give better cooling of the mid engine layout, when the weight saving is a bonus ;)

Well the exige is far better design rear than the vx220 / elise for airflow to start with so most of my data is from that but look at the exige cup R style. Also the back of the clam and diffuser can give good improvements in cooling and reduce rear lift

It won’t shine like a diamond in a goats arse due to the age of the paint and it has chips all over but it’s part of the fun of it not being a garage queen..
