Loltus Exige

What can I say? Took the Loltus to Blyton and enjoyed it immensely!

I have driven 280mi in the Loltus now , 79 of those on track.

I started slow, building up confidence in my ability to steer a shorter wheelbase car.

It took me a good few laps to work out what I need to rev the bollocks off the car to make it go. No point in 4k rev when you have nigh on 9k to play with.

I also learnt that you can spin it a lot, lot easier than the c63 :) I have a video of it in car. I nearly , nearly caught it and then WHAP spin.

I didnt have the legs to pull away from anything major ( barring clios ) but I could keep with awful lot of stuff.

One thing I did note is the tyres are good street tyres ( Yoko Advan V105 ) but on track I didnt have the level of grip that I wanted. I could feel the car sliding around under me.

I have some videos to edit , and Ill upload and link. Just of me driving.

Really, really happy with it and the performance on track considering I dont really know the car.

Ill put my other pics in the event thread.

Good track to push the car on and find limits without imminent $$$$$ issues. Cut slicks make a big difference in the dry but sounds like you are enjoying it ;)

I was dissapointed for the first two sessions I went out in Duncan TBH. Just not the level of performance I wanted. However after learning how to drive again - OMG. Was in awe of it.

Amazing fun, amazing. Love it. Big time.

Now , lets start getting the car checked out to check its pushing the power I want.

Yep you have to work the chassis to get the most from it. Power makes you lazy tbh and a lot will argue less power makes you focus on other attributes

Im a turbo boy and just love the rush of poweeerrrŕ

Conversion nothing to do with me but one of my conversions were there a few months back grabbing a part while on a ring trip and seem to be throwing them out in elise / exige & even a 2-11 :) I would use the golf r tsi lump mind as more power without need tp do much

I lost one center at blyton. Well , technically two but @Pigsnake found one.

Replacement centres are £16.25 each.

Bought them , as it’s needed and noticed lotus changed the design and now they have a metal circlip all the way around.

Had to give it a firm wack to get it in.

All good again.

Every trip is fantastic in the plastic fantastic!

Yep not only great products but also team who do the magic.

They do a great programme before the staff are actuallly let loose making. And brilliant no drama after sales support.

Still very sad Wayne has passed and only seems like yesterday I was annoying him & Alex on site with my crazy wants :)

Proper in love with this pocket sized toy car ( as its been called by a few people )

It makes me feel like a group C racer after I have climbed in with its visible front arches and letterbox windows.

Its fine around town ( as long as you avoid anything that is even a passing resemblance to a speed hump ) and returns excellent MPG. Not done the maths and nor will I but I know that the 40l tank on this last fill has done me 220mi and the shady as petrol level is telling me its got 1 and a 1/4 units left.

The 63 would have drained 65+ l at this point.

I guess thats the benefit of a 1.8l engine it the car being so light it has to be tied down if its gusty.

Cant wait to get the CC installed and the map checked. I think its rich as hell. There is a really big cam kick around 6k and shortly after the supercharger really starts to whine.

Will be interested to see the dyno before CC install , after CC install and revised map.

The pro alloy stuff always looks brilliant - I love a company that has its own branded tape as well lol , its bodes well for the effort they put into their products!

Looking forward to more updates!
