Liquid

"Unlike most other Clio V6s" this one has had a bit of a prang ;), and the former owner had a hard time getting a colour match he was happy with.

I'm not a PH user, but it appears there's no way to publicly post a question like on eBay :(.

annoying that he has lied in the ad-

I must say i find it a strange choice of pictures to use for the advert....

Pic 1 - 4 strange marks which look like bolts showing through the paint on the rear bumper and quarter pannels. Doesn't exactly look like its in stunning condition as quoted :s
Pic 4 - Liquid dripped all over the luggage tray. If you were going to use a pic of this you would make sure it is clean first.
Pic 5 - Looks like it's taken in a wasteground with rubbish strewn everywhere. Surely a nicer backdrop could have been found [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Maybe it's just me being fussy but it doesn't look as cared for as the advert suggests.... :s

Just goes to show the advantages and disadvantages of the internet and forums - depending on which way you look at it ...

I seem to recall the original damage bill being about 12k ...

Certainly some dishonesty or misleading going on if this is the same car, even if this was during a previous sale.

They'll be parking sensors Lucy ;)

odd choosing pics where the car is all steamed up aswell.

parking sensors, has a custom ice install in the boot. far and away from the cleanest, but a cheapish liquid. :approve:

i hope who ever buys it puts the time into restoring it to its full glory.

You can report dishonest/misleading sales to Pistonheads.
I saw a ad for my old Clio Cup which from the description had clearly been clocked and year of manufacture was 2 years out !
Pistonheads promptly removed the ad after i made them aware of the scam.

current owner is a member on here as well... you'd have thought he'd know the history of the car - the first thing I do when seeing a Vee is advertised is have a look on here to see if anyone has ever owned it and whether there is any history to it.

i emailed guy asking a few questions,in a month or 2 i might be looking to
purchase another vee,id be well pissed off if i bought that car thinking it hadnt
been pranged when it had been

feel sorry for people that dont know about this great club before buying a vee :approve:

Hopefully whoever thinks of buying this car will do their homework and join here before taking the plunge!

I reported it to PH last night- they still havent removed it-

Steve

It would be removed if I reported it. ;) His comment is quite insulting to other owners and of course the accident history is obviously false, regardless of his own knowledge.

He is a club member, he can clearly see our register, and who the previous owner was. danp (paddy) didn't hide the news of his prang, he made it public knowledge which takes only seconds to find previous posts.

i emailed him and got a automatic response with a link to another email address, emailed
other address and got a failure notice, have tried again so will see if that works. makes
me angry that he says "never been in any accidents like most vees"

some unlucky punter will get buy it, glad it wont be me!! [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]

UPDATE haha

he replyed to my email.he says he wasnt aware that the car had been damaged,he had carried
out a check on the car before he bought it and it reported no damage.he asked where i had
heard this from.says he restored it to standard as had black alloys, tints etc

guy seemed genuine but who knows if he does know or not that it was pranged. :s
