What is this 'PC' madness you speak about?

....We come from the North...bearing gifts....we bring PC in one hand....Autoglym SRP in the other....we come in search of Vee's ....

Seriously....PC = Porter Cable which is the brand name for a "Random Orbit Polisher" which basically takes a number of different prepping, buffing and polishing orbiting discs (SFX1, 2, and 3 pads - 1 being the most abrasive and 3 being the finishing pads....) Used in conjunction with SFX 1 & 2 (restore and enhance products) or various Autoglym products, it allows you to take surface scratches out of your car paintwork and gives it an almost 'showroom' finish. For the best results, you use it in conjunction with 'clay' products first.

The whole process (for a showroom-type finish) from start to finish, can take in excess of 7/8 hours - so this is not a process to be undertaken lightly or if you're not very patient and tolerant of laborious processes..!! ha ha !

The results are un-believable though and you only need do this one per year (assuming you do everything to the book)

I will be doing my Vee for RWS once my stone chips have been done..!! :D :D

Hope this helps Mark...!! :D (and No, I don't want to come and volunteer to do yours..!!)

I didn't think auto glym was recomended for laquered cars, because it is too abrasive & will take the laque off eventually.
Highly recomend it for cellilous cars

Go onto Autoglym website Wayne, Aston Martin, Merc Benz and Jaguar endorse the Autoglym products....hardly think they're going to do that vociferously if their products are rubbish....:s

In saying that, like anything to do with paintwork and polishing applications, it's down to the user and not the product.....:D

SRP is a fairly decent polish, too dusty for my liking. Only AG products i use are, Tyre dressing for shows, rubber and bumper care again for shows. Rest are naff.

Chemcal guys, poorboys or menzerna for me.

i have been showing cars for a long time. have entered and won auto glym events but would never use the white auto glym on a regular basis, when i say a regular basis that would be at least once a week, if you are generaly polishing your car once a month i would think thats ok, auto glym white polish is not recommended to be used with any type of power polisher for any length of time because of the cut which is in it.
in time it will eventually go through your laquer if you are using it with a machine . auto glym also do a pink polish which they say has no cut in it. the best polish i have used lately in my opinion is race glaze,
mid.engine
