I have an annoying leak from the sump on my le car2 turbo
It is leaking from the sump rim.
When I refitted the sump after the piston liner change I put a new cork gasket on but still it leaks, the leak is coming from the ends under the crank shaft.
On my GT Turbo the gasket set is the same but when I removed the sump from that it didn't have the cork gasket. Just white silicon seal all the way along the edges, and the normal rubber ends.
This was how it was fitted at the Renault Factory as the engine was new a few years ago.
Is it possible to fit the sump on the le car with just the Renault Thixo paste and no cork gasket?
