leaking gearbox

found gearbox oil on the chassis and on the bottom of the gearbox. does any 1 no how it could have leaked cheers carl

I had the same problem. i brought it to renault and they told me that the left driveshaft rubber was broken. they replaced the left driveshaft.
I think they have damaged it, when they changed my timing belt, water pump and clutch.

After having mine RR'd there was a little pool of oil!...Still haven't found a problem after stripping the shaft and boots etc.

having said that after cadwell the other wk there was loads of oil on my right rear rim...So thing the boot may have come off or split.
 
The big problem is that if its the boots on the box, you aparantly cant get them as they have a triangular clamp so you need a new shaft. What a crock.

Typical renault if it were a ford fiesta you could get a factored one.
