K20 Diy tuning advice and general question's

Not sure what sub forum thus threads best in?
I'm looking into tuning my ride when ready. What software do you use? I've seen a couple recommended, one being Neptune, but I think they're US softwares, any UK brands? I have decided to put in a k20 BAM plus matching TT gearbox and ECU all out of the same car. So long as I buy it off ebay before someone else does. I need to check the TT gearbox will go in the r5 ok or if there is a better option, and if I can use the TT ECU or if there is a better option.

I've decided to go with the k20 BAM as its baseline BHP is 225, also looking online the only difference between the BAM and BFV (BFV being 240bhp) is the map in the ECU. All else seems to be the same, however I'm not sure everything is the same as the compression rations are different according to the k20 versions specs I've found online...

I've found a Renault 5 that im buying in a few days.

K20 and bam are two different engine codes from two different engines from two different manufacturers??

Pay somebody reputable to tune it once its running. Its quite an art to get it right, takes hours and hours of learning to make a reasonable safe map.

Ah yeah its a vag bam. I've been looking at k20 and vag lol.
