Sorry for posting here, but I found this topic while I was searching for a solution to my problem with the gear box. I will describe to you my problem.
I recently bought a R19 16V coupe from 1991 and I saw that in the second gear, if I make sudden moves (braking, accelerating, hiting speed bumps or holes in the road), the lever goes in neutral.
Does anyone have an idea about what's wrong? I hope for a quick fix wihout opening the gear box.
If I keep my hand on the gear lever it's working fine.
PS: My gear box seems to be JB3 044.

Thank you for the idea. I will check it first time when I have the chance. Right now I borrowed the car to a friend, because his car was damaged.
My first thought was that de gear shifter has some linkage problems, but a mechanic told me that it should behave in the same way on the 4th gear, which is not.

I found another gearbox, JB3037, not JB3044 like mine and I will make the exchange. Maybe I will find someone to repair my gearbox and to have it as a spare part.
Meanwhile I have to find a proper and not a very expensive cluch.

After I dismanteled the gear box and replace some damaged items, when I placed back the gear box the result was the same: it was jumping out of the second gear.
The reason was a missing spring that suppose to hold the gear lever into second and fourth gear.
I placed another spring in place and now it is working, but it is not the original spring.
