Jaytek Clio V6 on the bay

I think its illegal to have race car numbers showing whilst driving on the public roads, as it encorages street racing according to plod.

But its more an insurance problem as a race or rally number on the car makes your car a competition car and your insurance does not cover you for motorsports ,unless you sort the correct cover with you insurance company.

Anyway he's not getting near my helmet with a DA sander. Its £500 of Bell's finest unpainted carbon

its a common presumtion that this is the case but in reality there is nothing in the RTA that outlaws it (every Foxtons Mini would be breaking the law if so - maybe a good law to introduce then!). If you are an MSA licence holder though and drive your car to and from an event, the MSA do not allow you to run your race numbers on the car, at least without a line running through it, and if seen doing so you run the risk of losing your competition licence.

Looks like somebody is trying to make some big wonga out of this car, as last time i saw it advertised it was £7995 [smilie=icon_eek.gif]
