To assist the history on this car for the seller and any future sale perhaps you could clarify why you posted it had at least 100k miles on it and if that is not the case then remove the post from the previous thread?

Trying to establish where the register entry came from which said it has over 100k miles. Information was posted from the register. For now I have removed that mileage comment.

Owners adding their car info into our register can easily input false information, we can only trust what they input to be true.

I imagine Dan being the current owner would have done an HPI check or at least have past MOTs when he bought it? Info such as this would be useful to assure us 100k miles is not correct.

SGM is aware that a new side was put on the car some time ago. I believe JP owned the car from 2005 - 2012

Hi guys,
Appreciate the comments, thank you. The mileage of 27000 is all logged both in the service book and also the MOT search I have. I didn't get an HPI check done at purchase as the garage informed me this had been done and came back ok - perhaps my stupidity for trusting there!
I can't see it being over 100k!
It also has SGS(?) stamps in the book, so am assuming it a "known" car? One potential buyer said a guy from there is on here and has worked on it before? Is that right....???

They should have disclosed the status of the car to you as it seems that to have simply said 'ok' is a little misleading or was 'ok' as far as they were concerned I.e. No finance ... It's easy to say now but best to always get an HPI check done. A cat D is often going to be disfavoured by some but not all buyers hence tempting for a seller to try and hide it, not especially honest for a garage/trader though !

Sounds like you are building the picture now which looks better than it could have been especially if Scott did any work on the car ...

I just can't understand why the 100k was mentioned. There must be a reason?

As explained earlier... the 100k comment had been put into our register by a previous owner. That comment has now been removed.

Just the missing plaque to consider if that would be an issue to the next buyer.

The mileage ties up with what I have. The 100k miles comment can't be true based on the earlier comment and also all that I have with regards to documents clarifying mileage.

Just shows it's important to double check information. The register is fantastic, but it's only as accurate as the information we are given.

The plaque probably has just been removed as a momento or whatever. It's highly unlikely you will ever find out number what it was as it can't be traced by chassis number... unless whoever removed it still has the plaque! A long shot but you could use the DVLA link on page 1 and write to previous owners.

I may have a spare plaque from the previous group buy, the number is damage /scratched hence it's not great but perhaps a quality graphic over the number will make it presentable, I,m away right now, will confirm next week
