iphone equivilant

whats the best equal for the iphone?

something that is as easy to use?

also, theres an "ap" or whatever its called on the iphone for tracking flights which from what i saw was very good. so the equivilant must have something as good or similar.

p.s., i'm on Orange :thumb:

was looking at what they have, so if anyone has any experience of the Samsung Jet S8000, Samsung S5600 Black, Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition, Samsung i8910 HD, Nokia 5800 in black and silver, BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900,
HTC Hero in graphite or Toshiba TG01 can you let us know what they are like?

TIA

i don't know about all those but i've had 2 Nokia N95s and it looks like i'll be making that 3 years running cos i haven't found another phone that works so well. This one has a big screen and proper buttons!

The Curve is a great phone- far fewer problems than the iPhone, cheaper, a danmed sight easier not to break, parts are available on eBay (re-cased my colleague's Curve in 15 minutes with a single T3 Torx driver and a pocketknife) and the keyboard is actually quite nice to use. The screen is bright enough to light a room and crisp, good colours (15 bit colour)

Plus it fits in your pocket better too. Much louder ringer than the iPhone as well, if you need it.

I had an N82 - great phone, candy bar style has all the features of the N95

Then I decided I wanted an N96 which was a complete let down, absolutely shocking phone wasnt impressed at all

Overall I think Nokia's rep as being the leading phone manufacturer has gone right down..I then purchased an Iphone 3G and I love it

My sister has an LG cookie and she says its a good phone

My sisters boyfriend works for orange, im on orange and have the samsung i900 omnia 16gb which is very good, but my sis just got the lg arena which is literally the exact same as the iphone, also steer clear of the cookie its terrible.

I'm looking for a new phone at the moment, current one is over 3 years old and it still does what I need it to but it's starting to go on the blink big time.

I've been tempted to get an iphone but the whole DRM thing and Apple's lockdown on what you can and can't put on it is a deal breaker.

Probably going to get an HTC Hero.

I have a 5800 now, it replaced my N82. If you're used to nokia S60 phones (6600, 7650, N70 etc) it a great compromise to an iphone. I had an iphone for 3 days before selling it on, i just didn't like it

I have the Xperia X1, brilliant phone, loads of downloadable aps, built in GPS etc, touch screen, full qwerty flip out keyboard etc love it!

I just got a Sciphone i68/9+++, looks identical to the i phone, not as easy to use though, lots of apps are available for it but im not sure about a flight tracker, fairly cheap though, bout 50 euro or so

From my experience go anything sony ericsson or nokia, usually good. Don't bother with LG, I just got an LG Renoir - Don't :). Good phones but the processors are incredibly slow. Look at the new HTC I've been told it's good once you get used to it.
