has anybody had problems with there v6 clio cos this is a problem for me and 3 renault dealers.

when the car is cold its fine but down on power.but then when the car gets really warm ie 30 minites driving under load or putting my foot down in any gear it kangeroos up the road like thr rev limiter is coming in way too early. like 1st wont pull past 30mph
2nd gear 40mph and so on.also wont pull past 80 mph in any gear regardless of how i drive it.
up to now it has cost me £400 in dealers fees on diagnostic tests with no luck. and the manegment light does not come on .and tecnichans are scratchin there heads.
ive replaced spark plugs£101.73 pressure sensor switch £160 fuel filter air filter
im now at my wits end can any body help me thanx.

Does it cut out at the same rpm in each gear ?

If so good chance coil pack.

It should have shown up on diagnostics.

Could be a problem with the throttle peddle sensor or the throttle valve actuator on the plenum. In other words the throttle system.

Again I would expect this to show up on diagnostics.

a coil would definately show on the diagnostics...believe me...ive had 5 fail in a year of ownership lol

trophy coils anyone?

went to gdi today to see if he could find out the problem with my intermitant v6 and he said possably be the throttle housing so bought one today the only one in the uk £288 pounds later and guess wat no differant. i think a box of matches are in order for my clio v6

What RPM.

Must say it would seem an ignition problem.

As stated above could be coil or a sensor but these should show up on diagnostics.

Not sure if coils O.K. at low rpm, then U.S. at higher rpm if this would show up.

Is it a deffinite miss fire or can you describe the fault better.
