does anybody know when you put youre foot down and hold it down in any gear going along the motorway.why does my v6 stop and start in perfomance. like someone is pressing up and down on the accelerator. but i have it pressed down to get full performance does any body know, cheers dan turner :? this is a mrk 1 vee 6

My first idea is the accelerator potentiometer/connectors/throttlebody.

Pretty esay to measure with a ohmmeter.

As said before, by John, could be others to, but if in all gears, no matter what speed, I would put my money on those items. BUT said this, I've been amazed before of what could be wrong. :D

Yep ... hence the question on whether Mk1/Mk2 ... since I believe the "fly-by-wire" accelerator is only on the Mk2s!?
