INJECTOR PROBLEM

Some of you may be aware of a small problem with my Vee not firing two of the injectors,

The problem originaly was that two of the old injectors were reading short curcit and now I replaced them with new they still will not fire. Ive proved they work by swapping the lead over and it fires the fuel through the new injector.

Ive tried another ECU and this does the same also checked the harness out and all seems to read OK so Im a bit stumpped.

I am wondering if a reset on the computar is needed to clear any safty overides the US injectors may have caused although I have no fault light on the dash.

Anyone have any ideas?
 
How did you check the harness? Did you meter for continuity or resistance (you probably know this but some meters will show continuity with relatively high levels of resistance which can be misleading in situations like this)?

Is this the OEM ECU or another?

Have you got any way of actually monitoring the ECU injector output with the car running, something like a ScopeMeter so you can see if it's attempting to drive them or not?
 
I have measured the resistance with my Fluke and it reads the same at the plug of the ECU as the working injectors give or take small difference. Ive also dissconected the coils and can turn it over without firing I wedged a couple of LEDs into the injector connectors and the working ones flash when they fire but the two that dont just stay dim.


I am going to put the LEDs at the back of the plug on the ECU to again discount the cable being the cause. I have a friend with a Clip which we are going to connect at the weekend and clear the ECU as its probley full of error codes by now.

What I dont understand is that I have a second ECU (both standard Bosch units) doing the same thing bloody odd.
