Indicator Problem

Hi All,

Really hope you can help, gave the Vee a clean last night and tucked her away in the garage, as I locked it up with the standard remote all the nearside indicator lights remained lit up! So i unlocked the car and the lights were still lit up (All down one side from front, side and rear and the left indicator arrow on the dash) I tried to lock the car again and the indicators still remained lit. Finally managed to get the lights to flash as normal once the alarm is set, at the 5th attempt. Any idea what this could be or how to rectify it as I couldn't see another way round this if I couldn't get the alarm to reset with the remote, didn't want to leave the lights on all night. Not the best news seeing as I have only had the car less than 5 days!!

All help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
John

I'm not too technical, but sounds to me like something electrical is sticking. First I would check the rear bulb holder for corrosion, then unplug the flasher/hazard unit relay and have a look at that.

I had this problem twice. Once on a very rainy night and once after I had washed the car.

I put it down to water ingress.
