Immobiliser Bypass Code

Like it says on my thread, most wont give it for free, I phoned all the Edinburgh dealers and they all wanted £20, so did several I phoned around the country and you had to go to them with 2 forms of ID, my way you don't have to leave the house.

well to be honest any random number generator could work couldn't it.

Also your erroneous ebay adverts would probably be enjoyed by Renault as the code was provided with the car if you so asked for it.

The code is not the property of Renault but of the car and thus its owner, therefore it is free but franchises are allowed to charge an administration fee to get it, although in my experience this is never needed.

£9.99 is also a rip off for free information.

So you find it for free at every dealer, I'll lay you a £1000 to 1 the majority will ask you for £20 for it, so £9.99 is hardly a rip off, Chris, you just like to be right, so OK, you are right.

And it's not a random generator, it gives the exact code at the first try

Its free due to its the cars owners property. It's meant to be written in the handbook when the car is purchased. If they charge you for it then the Renault dealer is in the wrong as you wouldn't buy a house then have to pay for the burglar alarm code would you ?

The rights and wrongs of it are irrellivent, the fact is, the majority do charge, and I do say that it's wrong that they do in my thread.

I have all the original documentation that was provided with my car from new,and that codes isn't anywhere, key code and so on is, and I even phoned RCS as I was annoyed that this was charged for, and they simply said it was standard procedure for dealers to charge for it.

this is a scam thee codes are stolen from renault as he works there or it is ramdom numbers i tryed it and the code was wrong so went to renault payed 15+vat and got right code and for some one to get it right all the time makes you wounder:?

he doesn't work for renault and for my sins sparky turned into a mate.

his codes do work I have used them several times

that my be the case for you but it did not work for my and i still had to pay renault for the code which just makes me wonder where he gets his codes

same place a few of us do, theres a program where you enter the key number, chassis type and you get the code.

I have got about 20 codes off him (in exchange for work on his car etc).

You shouldn't have paid Renault for the code its your car your code. they what is known in law circles extorted you. Even if they try administration fee thats an unsuitable amount therefore extortion.
