So on Saturday afternoon I took my two eldest boys to the cinema to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2. We got back, parked on the drive. I was just taking my shoes off ... when bugger me an Illiad Vee drove down my road (which is a cul de sac), and then reversed towards my house as if it was turning around.
Amazed and excited is an understatement!! What were the chances of that happening I thought ...
... then I noticed the number plate ...
... and then the number plate registered in my brain ...
... and then it clicked! It was my Vee
!
When I left my car was parked safely in the garage, and I took our 7 seater instead to the cinema for obvious reasons. Just as a precaution I'd popped my youngest boy's car seat into the Vee before I went, but my wife has never driven my car or shown any inclination to despite having always been insured on it. However, apparently they were going to walk to Sainsbury's to get some fresh bread and then decide sod it we'll take the Vee :shock:.
"Don't know what all the fuss is about" she said. "And the brakes rather snatch". "Good job it's got 6 gears too since I needed to change up loads" because she's never driven a V6 before and so isn't used to the fact that the engine sounds like it's revving that bit higher :roll:.
