idle speed

hi people, can the idle speed be adjusted on a phase 1 21 turbo? if so how? mine ticks over on about 600rpm and wont idle when cold.

IACV, TPS, butterfly base setting and air bypass screw innit

If its the screw that you showed me Dave (that does'nt sound right that :lol: ) anyway, if you stand at the passenger wing you've got the casing that says "Turbo", this is held on by 3 bolts, on your side of the casing you will see a little small "flat blade" screw (underneath the screw is the throttle linkage) by turning this very slightly either way will increase or decrease you rpm.

You lot are lazy :?

Clean the IACV out by removing it and filling it with WD40 and shaking it about a bit. Repeat several times.
If that dont help screw in the butterfly stop screw on the top of the throttle body half a turn or so. Its a dead small thing and should have an 8mm locknut on it.
Its here....
Dont go OTT, too much adjustment will put the TPS out of tune.

I Reckon you must have a faulty IACV then. Does it idle consistantly at 600 or is it up and down?
