couple of days ago the plug wells on the 19 filled up with water..started it up and let it run(not knowing they had water in them)it was idling fine drove about 5miles before i got to know, started runnig rough but before i could clen them out it cut out and wouldnt start up.

so i drained all the water and took out the plugs and cleaned them car runs ok but from giving me 32mpg its gone down to 22mpg and hunts occasionaly drops to 7-800 revs then its ok again..could this be the icv or is it linked to the water issue?

cheers.

u have to check out 2 things, first the cooling liquid level is ok(other wise u loose cooling liquid in the plug hols),,second and most important check the ventilation hole on the hood. It's the major reason for taking rain water in the plugs. What i've done is to put a hand made metal plate just to keep rain water out of my engine.

Check the leads, might still be damp or more likely corroded abit on the plug connection.
