Iceburg Ph1 #730

Hi Hi,
I thought I'd best give an update on Clio #730.
I am not sure why the number is sooo high, but I'm hoping there is a valid reason for it and there isn't anything I should know about the car.

I bought the car in May 2009, from a guy in Surrey which you may or may not know. Its been with me in Essex for the last 7 months and I have cared for it the best I can.

It has done 47,000 miles now. I haven't done anything to it since I bought it apart from changing the bonnet catch as it was unbelievably rusty.
I have no plans to change anything on it apart from things like the wheel nuts.. (more rust).

It just means it's an import, nothing to worry about! Mine is #1226

Looks mint :approve:

Was sold in May by Club Member JRP. He last posted in May :)

#730 because it is an imported Vee.

very nice motor! very tidy.

yeah looks like you have a quicksilver backbox on there.

# 0730 will be an import number, but the only difference that really makes is that a tracker wouldnt of been fitted from new. nothing dodgy about it at all and many owners have retro fitted trackers if they wanted them anyway.

the car used to be owned by forum user JRP, you can read his posts about it if you want some extra history:

Lol Rodger that! :)

I do tell a lie, i had the front bumper resprayed, because there was a nasty little scratch that need filling and spraying on it when I bought it from JRP.
It was only £270 to do the whole lot, and its removed the stone chips etc too, which is great!

I actually didn't know about the exhaust, but its not a bad thing I guess. It does sound very nice, but as JRP mentioned prviously it has some whirring, and hissing, coming from the engine, as i move through the gears.

He also threw in a nice little spare coil which (touch wood) havent needed to use or change any yet.

whirring and hissing sounds pretty normal behaviour to me :approve:

the hissing is the induction kit and whirring just the noisey gearbox
