Hope James mean't this to be a 'random' thread! :) Sorry mate. It's diversed somewhat from nasturtiums and V6 shells to Sega Dreamcasts and Super Nintendos now! :)

Been looking at 3D TVs - what was it like? Heard mixed reviews on them? Might wait as its like anything new technology wise couple of yrs to get the niggles ironed out.

Got me a 3D TV, mate. It's a 48" led jobby by Samsung.

On the whole it's a fantastic TV, brilliant features, stellar picture and surprisingly very good sound from it.

On the 3D side, I have only just picked up a Samsung 3D bluRay player (£150.00) but I haven't set it up yet. I've tried Call Of Duty: Black Ops in its 3D mode and it was great fun. You can really see the difference, especially when looking down the gun sights.

The TV also has a convert 2D to 3D mode built in, which doesn't work to well with everything, but most HD channels look good on it and certain 2D coded films look fabulous. That old gem Starship Troops looks crazy good.

I'd say go for it if you have the dollar and will intend on using the 3D aspect, if at the moment it would just be a curio for you, then save your monies as you aren't really missing anything, bro.

to get back somewhere near on topic, Alpine aftersales are closing down and being moved onto the factory site in Dieppe so those shells need to be shifted. Ask MR Dell if interested..... (nothing that half an hour with a pressure washer wouldnt fix)
