So following the exhaust install i took the vee into work for a dyno run. Stunned at the result!!

So with the BMC ported inlet manifold and new exhaust she ran 265BHP then mapped went up to 280!! but running a little to lean so backed it down to a safer 274.7 with 261.2ft-Lb of torque. what a bloody result!! Got a vid and dyno graphs to up load as soon as i get them on my pc!!

Fantastic result! What was the dyno results pre-exhaust install?

Unfortunately in my excitement i did'nt run the car before i started doing the bits on it, spoke to Scott at SG and he said most of them tend to run between 230 and 240bhp. Has seen some of the rarer colours run 225bhp

So you gained 32 bhp from adding an exhaust!

Don't think it was just the exhaust, i ported the inlet manifold a couple of months back which seemed to make a difference.

Best bit about the two together is it has ironed the horrible flat spot out at around 5500rpm, haven't manage to drive the car since the new map has been loaded so am excited to see what it is like. Should have the dyno graphs to put up a bit later when i get into work

Bloody hell! Is there anything left of the inlet manifold?? Lol That's a heady figure fella. Not far off Trophy levels and that's with stock cylinder heads. No point you even looking at the Trophy inlet manifold now then!

Remember to add the equaliser pipe aswell Ben. A possible 6-7 hp to be gained there.

I'm scared lol, planning to add a cross over pipe when i do the headers ;). Just out of interested anyone know what power the gearboxes are good for?

It has been mentioned that anything over 300bhp and the gearbox becomes a shreader, but when mine was running 297 bhp it seemed fine. (it was just too damn fast and noisey for me)

I think someone might be trying to wind up someone else.... and he's NOT biting! :moon:

Got the beast on the road today!!! What can i say, the normal V6 driving grin has got even bigger!!! The power delivery is absolutely beautiful, just pulls like a train all the way through the rev band!! Really notice that extra punch between 5000 and 6000RPM and to top it all off getting 1 MPG more! Think this maybe it for engine mods for a little while, got the respray coming up, plus want to sort out a new steering wheel and seats.

great news! was suprised by how high it ran so a credit to you. glad to hear it runs so well :approve:
