High running temperature in traffic

OK, I know it always will get hot in traffic but I'm a bit worried about mine. Seen the water temperature gauge go very, very high today a few times when stationary. Checked the water and it was OK. Any thoughts? Car is running fine other than that.

Open passenger door.

Look for removable panelm at the end of the panel consul.

Lid will tell you the position of the fuse.

If you did the speed stated should not think much is wrong.

Fans are easily audible in the car when stationary / driving slowly. My temp gauge never goes above approx mid-way up.

Seeing as the stealers recently worked on the fans / side-pods i'd bet they have fecked something up. Wire missing / fuse blow is my guess too.

I think it might be a themostat. Fuses seem fine and it is really cold out there. Water is OK yet the gauge keeps going right to the to mayday position even when I have only been in it a couple of minutes, can stay there a while and then within seconds back down to where it should be.

Back to Renault (again) I guess!
