High Idle

Big man

Member
1.9 Pahse 2 16v has a high idel at approx 1200 rpm. This is constant from starting (always first time) and remains so even after a good run (20miles) I have followed the guide to clean the ICSV Valve but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Cheers

well if its doing it from first start it snot the road speed sensor.

tap the ICv and see if the revs drop.

also make sure some pillocks not arsed abotu with the throttle body screws and there sno air leaks.

It could be the cts saying its cold, is it guzzling fuel?

fifty miles to a tenner normal driving not hard at a steady 60mph

ICV I think I cleaned that?

Throttle body? Screws? Air? AHHHHHHH

50 to a tenner sounds rather excessive to me.

ICV may have been cleaned but cleanign a smashed glass up won't fix the glass. like I said tap it with a screwdriver handle or something.
