HELP!

should be all sorted for less than 200 quid all in....i'll let peter tell the story..
as i'm far too busy fixing renaults that the dealers can't

A list of failures.

CR4PPY battery terminals / connectors. Losing vital volts to resistance.
Bad engine / gearbox earth. Losing vital volts to resistance.
Starter motor full of clutch dust (due to previous clutch destruction ).

Intermittent starting fault. 2 breakdowns. 2 trips to the stealers £200+ spent. No resolution. Complete waste of time. Facing £500+ bill to swap starter to resolve.... maybe.

One trip to meet clarkie in Bristol services on Sat. Fixed on Monday. All for £200.

Which is better service? Which would I recommend? Hmmm :?

Cheers Clarkie! Excellent as always! 8)

Peter :D

renault take note...when was the last time a dealer of yours got a write up like that??
thanks peter...^^
it was easy/basic engineering practice.

hope all is well now mate...
and the exhaust is still not touching the rear bumper..

All sorted mate. :D The starter is SUPER powerful. I'm thinking of having the engine removed and using just the starter!

The zorst is all good now as well. I just need to do a bit of a touch up job where the paint has been burnt/rubbed off.

Top work clarkie! :D

Cheers mate!

Peter,

Did Clarkie replace/repair the starter or just clean it out ? £200 seems a great price given how hard it seems to remove the little fella ...
