Help!! Mid-way changing fog light Mk2

Hi Guys,

Was following the "how to" guide on here re: changing NSF fog light.

However, the MK2 arch liner seems to be completely different to the MK1, one piece for a start.

I've undone the 3 Torx screws along the bottom edge, but can't pull the liner back enough to get access to the screws holding the fog lamp surround in place.

THere's a number of black plastic blanking pieces/fastenings. Some with just a smooth surface, others larger with a hole in the middle.

I presume these are retaining the liner, but how do you remove them?

Ben

Yeah they are the arch liner retainer clips.

You can buy a lever tool from places like Halfords but i just use a kitchen fork with the centre opened a little. Be careful though as they do tend to break.

Also if this doesn't help you could always remove the front bumper plactis D panel and gain access to the fog lamp from below.

OK, I had a go an guess what, it broke :(
Do yoU need to remove the fog lamp surround? I can't see how you can get a driver on the top right torx screw!! OR is it a case of undo the torq screw on the fog light itself through the little access half-round hole in the surround?

It's a rear struggle, but it can be done Ben. I found the hardest torx was the one furthest away, tuched in next to the back of the moulded air intake section of the bumper. I did end up with a few added abrasions to my hands though.. lol
