good evening i have a clio v6 phase 1 and i have a problem when it is hot
and after being stopped for several minutes she has trouble starting
can you help me?
thank you

I have found a couple of references on the forum mentioning “hot starting problem fixed by replacing fuel pump”

Mine used to do that. Was a fault behind the inlet manifold on the baulkhead. Get him to look through the knowledge section.

This is a reply to an old thread........ but it's probably the fuel tank vent solenoid valve, it's allows the fuel tank to vent to the inlet manifold st certain times when driving but not on start up. If it's faulty then when you start the car when it's hot it constantly creates an air leak to the inlet manifold which causes the engine to run very lean when starting hence the lazy slow start. It starts ok when the engine is cold because the cold start solenoid (modern day choke) makes the engine run rich which overrides the effect of the air leak. The solenoid valve is mounted on the rear bulkhead under the water expansion bottle. Remove it & If you can suck through the pipe on the end with the electrical connector on it then it is faulty ! They are around £50 to £70 to buy new (don't buy a used one). Hope this helps anyone. :race:
