Hello!

No tension at all to my knowledge... not at admin level anyway. We communicate on a very regular basis with CS. As so many of us here started out on CS, us older ones tend to keep intouch off the forum.
Its true though, that CS still has its fair share of key board warriors and trolls. That said.. its been far better of recent years.. :approve:

I think most the ill feeling comes into play when folk make idiotic and miss-informed posts about the v6.. lol

Ouch, was that a dig there Shaun?

I guess I'm getting old then, borwsing this forum!

Haha... Not a dig at anyone at all dude! Common knowledge. Lol

And yes, you are getting old. As we all are, but you're still a comparative puppy compared to most of us here!

Wish I could have afforded something like a v6 at your age. Go for it! :)

Never been on cliosport. All that matters is that you recognize as fact that the pinnacle of the clio sports ever built is the V6!! In terms of performance and sheer attention-seeking, drama, public adoration blah blah blah there is only one daddy and its the vee [smilie=yay.gif] Only joking mate. I missed the cliosport step and went straight to a vee (once I discovered their existence!) but have always wanted a 182 in black to compliment my vee.

Ryan welcome to the world of the rear-wheel driven sportscar.
The vee is a totally different beast to fwd clios. On track is when you realise how differently you have to drive rwd compared to fwd especially in wet conditions. Hope you get a good one and join us in a few meets next year. Basically rwd cars cant be compare to fwd cars. Just ends in arguments

Hmmmm well after looking a possible insurance quotes, I may be waiting longer than expected to get a vee. £2,500........ [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Did you try Flux Ryan?.. how about your one of your parents or Grand parents on the policy? Will it be a daily drive? If not.. anywhere else you could leave or register the car with a cheaper post code?

I'll put you on!

I don't think id trust my Grand Dad on with the car, he can barely handle his Kia ;)
Going to give them a call on Tuesday mate to see whats the crack. Admiral were cheapest with the 172 before Sky price matched.

I don't think it's looking good tbh.

Well i'm sure i'm old enough  But I've already taken some of your points on my license [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Who said anything about him actually driving it!

Dont give up just yet fella.. 8)

Very nice looking 172, really like the colour 8)

How old are you? I was 22 when I first got my V6 (now 23) and insurance has been fairly reasonable...

I was 22 when I got mine too. Adrian Flux was the cheapest by far. I think I was paying about 1500 a year if I remember.

I'm 23 my insurance was under £750 with 0 no claims as was using them on another car, this was a 10month policy with Admiral. Very good and I was very pleased :)

I'll have to give Flux a call tomorrow I think, I'm comfortable with £1500.

I have use of another car, but it's a company vehicle so no multicar policys :(

I was getting worried, thought I may have to start looking at something else!

Turned 23 last month and insured the vee today! Got it for £1300 fully comp with Admiral. Only have 1 years NCB as my main transport is company car!

Not the cheapest quote in the world but to be honest im not displeased!

23 this month! who did you insure with?

Elephant, was around £800 iirc. That's with 4 years ncb and parents are on the policy.

Interested to hear what flux come back with, despite their claims they've always been very uncompetitive to me. Like £3k plus...

Bought mine when I was 21 and insured it at 22, paid 780 which I was really pleased with but . . . I had all my no claims on her so my daily worked out more, bloody 2003 mx5 more than v6 car lol

Insurance is crazy sometimes

Got mine at 21 too, wasn't cheap, but then the next year it was sub £1000 and now it's about £500...Washers really.
