Has anyone fitted Goodridge braided brake hoses?

Will

New Member
Hi, I am currently trying to upgrade the brake hoses on my v6 to braided items from Goodridge, the fronts went on fine but the rears when fully tightened did not appear to go all the way in to caliper (as if the thread is too long?) and left the copper crush washer free to move around. I was wondering if anyone else has fitted Goodridge hoses as I know there are a few people on here who have upgraded to braided brake hoses but I am unsure of which brand they have used.

I did notice when the hoses were unboxed that they were all the same size, could it be that they have sent 2 pairs of front hoses or are they the same all round?

I should also mention that I am not the person carrying the work out, it is a local mechanic who for the time being he has put the old hoses back on until I can find out what is wrong with the lines I have been sent.

Thanks,

Will.

Hi Will, when I had these fitted to my previous v6, I seem to recall Scott having to overcome the same problem. I believe the remedy was as simple as fitting a washer to the end of the fitting to ensure it did up tightly.

Goodridge have been made aware of the problem, so why they havent corrected their new supply is a mystery.
