Hagerty........

.........are pricing for Vee's again [smilie=yay.gif]

I needed to use my NCB on my Vee policy for another new vehicle, so the hunt was on for as low as possible insurance without any NCB.

Hagerty are now able to insure Vee's again, obviously as before, these policies won't suit everyones needs as they are a 'future classics' type policy.

Criteria:

Must be Garaged at night.

Limited mileage between 1 - 3k per annum.

Social, Domestic and Pleasure Only!

No modifications.

You do not build up any NCB.

..........But all the above suit me and my situation.

The result:

Fully Comp.

Breakdown Cover Included.

£250 Excess (and you get to choose the repairers).

Windscreen Cover £100.

Agreed Value £20000.

Myself and the Mrs insured to drive.

0 NCB.

£404.66p - pretty pleased seeing that Adrian Flux wanted £325 anyway, and that was with 9 years NCB.

Hope this helps some.

Kind regards, Steve.

A specialist broker should be able to mirror any NCB even if it's being used elsewhere.

Flux did mirror it, but it still came out at £505 :s

So Hagerty improved on that by another £101 :) Plus I do like the agreed value you get with classic car insurance.

I'm a happy bunny. And now i've got the 9 years NCB to use else where I've managed to save myself near enough £1000 [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

It all worked out well in the end.

Good savings there Steven, perhaps you will now consider purchasing a shirt and trousers. :approve:

Steady on ;)

Steve.

P.S. Only my wife or Mum call me 'Steven' - and only then when i've been a naughty boy, lol.

sounds like a good quote but if you want to insure your car on one of these limited mileage policies but want to commute to work in the car occasionally (not a daily driver) then im guessing you'd have to insure elsewhere?

No good for commuting Dan, social domestic and pleasure only.

As I said, this kind of policy would deffo only suit the few, but it has really helped me out to be honest.

Steve.
