Group buy on fog light backs - Ph1 (initially)

Just picked up the Ph1 fog light backs from Maxi man, before I fit them is there any interest in copies? Lets say £100/pair as a guesstimate but probably less. Would need five orders to make viable (I would have one of the five)

These are some samples of reproduction parts from recent history so you can see the quality thats possible.

Hi Dave,
Streamlinecarbon.com were making replica fog light backs - so this has been done in the past and you might find less demand than you think. (I have a spare OEM set - which I was going to butcher to make brake cooling ducts - but have since found that Trophy V6 cooling ducts are hidden above the splitter.)
I digress! I noticed that Ph1 bumper mesh has been done very badly by most folks. Big need for that.
Replica grills for Ph2 (front/rear/side pods) will be in big need too.
My point is - Good for you! - please don’t be put off on your mission if Ph1 fog demand is lower than expected.
Regards
Kett

They broke the mould for the phase 2 ones I believe, and also I tried to buy a pair of Phase 1 ones (at £300!) but the guy wasn't returning my calls and when I got hold of him he promised to call me back and never did, i'm afraid they lost my business through poor customer service (how unusual for the automotive industry....NOT). I have what I need now, so if there's no interest it's not a worry, it was just a passing thought for a spare set.

Shame about Streamline - back in the day, they were charging £199 for Ph1 and £299 for Ph2.

I was the one who got Bic to start reproducing them in Carbon. Have to say he was brilliant as initially they were one offs. The quality was superb too. Obviously they didn't come with the fake mesh look as they were pre preg.
Reproducing like for like would be a good idea. Out of curiosity, what sort of impact resistance does 3d printed parts have?

Impact resistance will depend entirely on the compound used. I’m in the process of getting a 3D printer, with my first project being the gearknob insert. I’ll look into the different compounds available to see if I can knock up some other external parts which require more impact resistance

Only reason I mention it is because mine took a few high speed stone chips and stood the test very well albeit with the laquer chipping. These would be a great product provided they are pretty hardy. I would definatly be in for sure as I want the front off mine to look a little more normal.
