GROUP BUY - Cromodora Replica Alloys 18''

So after some research into getting cromodora replica alloys made I have got a quote back.

The fronts are 7'' wide, PCD 5x108, Centre bore 60.1, rim diameter 18'', offset 6mm
The rears are 8.5'' wide, PCD 5x108, Centre bore 60.1, rim diameter 18'', offset 68mm

These sizes are not the size of the original trophy cromodora wheels due to the offset not really suiting the standard ph1 and ph2. These sizes and dimensions have been taken from the standard ph2 wheels.

These will be produced by the company who make OZ racing alloys so very good quality.

The initial set up cost will be £10,000 and every set after that will be £1,000.

So for 10 sets the cost will be £1,900 per set.

Obviously the more interested people the cheaper they become.

This may be a long shot but thought it was worth a try to see how much interest it can generate.

More information on turnaround time and exact prices will be given on Monday.

Put your name on the list if interested.

Great job Jonny again!

Interesting but would like to see a bit more offset to fill the arches, mainly at the rear, if so count me in! The arch filling is the main reason to go to Cromodoras!

Might be worth putting up on french site www.cliov6passion.fr as well to see if a bit more interest can be raised!

Definatly worth putting it on the French site. Regarding offsets, stock trophy wheel fit ph1 cars perfectly but I see the sense in making them fit the ph2 more specifically.

What offsets are the genuine rear Croms? Are they a 9" wheel also?

I'd like to see these as planned but maybe change the oe rear offset of 68, to 65 or 63 to make the rears sit just a little further out but not as much as the genuine Croms

Thanks for the interest.

I can finalise offset etc of the wheels before placing the order and this can be agreed between all interested parties before I place the final order.

Put your name on the list if genuinely interested.

Thanks,
Jonny

I think it would be best to make them as per ph2 stock figment. If you want them to fill the arches more either fit wheel shims or fit a wider tyre.

Although I'm not really interested, I'm wondering about your prizing. If you get 10 sets you pay 10k for the first plus 9k for the other 9 sets which adds up to 19k. Divided by 10 sets equals £1900 per set! One of us is clearly wrong unless you get a special price for 10 sets?

Exactly what is written in the first post!! Where's the confusion???? If two sets are ordered then its 11k/2= 5.5k. No one is going to pay that. 4 sets 13k/4. 6 sets 15k/6 and so on. Once it gets to 10 sets its more viable at 1.9k per set hence the min interest required is 10 people. So basically everyone shares 9k of the start up costs the other 1k is the effective cost of the first set once all the start up is paid for.

Great job!

I may be interested if the offsets are such that the wheels can be used on a Phase 2 without having to use spacers, and (fully) fill the arches as intended.

Couple of questions:
Trust these will be stronger that the originals as they will not include magnesium in the alloy compound?
Do you know how much they are likely to weigh (as a percentage of the original Phase 2 OZ's will be fine)?

Was working out at crazy money for a set pal unless I was ordering around 20-30 sets so wasn't worth justifying.
