getting clean wheels!

wheels can make or break a car, i think we all kinda know that, but clean wheels makes just as much impact, so using the pretty rubbish wheels of the project car, i thought i'd show you what i mean.

started off like so

using a Vikan wheel brush and Epsuma Wheel cleaner came up like so

not too shabby so far, then using the Epsuma again and a toothbrush too get into all the smaller knocks and crannies, got it like this

always try and get a non-acidic wheel cleaner, its a lot kinda to your wheels (y)

it'll only be temporary though as i need to get the project car back on its wheels for a little while, also i have refurbed ph1 alloys to go there in the end, and these will go on the original one when i sell it on

those wheels came up good. Kevin at Wicked Wheels was also saying how bad the acid cleaner is for the longjevity of the finish on an alloy wheel, he was quite upset about it, although it probably put a fair amount of work his way :)

What is the rough timescale for selling on your other car Baz?

phase 1 hatches don't come up for sale too often and as you're down the road... just curious really, i've not got any dosh at the moment though unfortunately

Well "most" ph 1 hatches that come up for sale are pretty doggy and the history of them are mostly sketchy, so at least with mine I've had for about 9 years now so know abit about it, lol

definately and i saw the condition of the last car you sold, immaculate!

Hmm, I like mine but I'd prefer it in black, and I'd never respray it a different colour. Would just want to keep the engine and brakes though. Any idea what price you'd want for it?

If it gets through the MOT easily enough, about £450ish depending on what I sell it with/without, got some leathers to go in it if someone wants leather in it for a little extra

well, you have a few weeks to have a think about it, as i have to go prep it before next getting to my parents to sort out a couple of things on it, and give it a good service and probably change the cambelt as well, before selling
