Gap on spark plugs

it would seem spark plug gapping is a thing of the past and they should not be altered from how the plug is delivered for fear of the bended bit breaking and dropping into the cylinder. I think modern ecu's negate the need for the gap to be set differently for differring motors. Just my theory.

A lot of modern day plugs have 3 or 4 electrodes, unlike the old days that just had the one. The spark will just across the smallest gap (not noticeably smallest by eye) so no need to adjust. Also because of the larger amount of electrodes they last longer than old school plugs too

Perfect cheers Ian, I'm used to working on my brothers mi 16 with him so wasnt sire,I'm only doing little jobs like this though everything else I'm leaving to the pros!
